… my Sockapalooozas arrived!

After the first pair got stolen on its way through Cologne (as I suppose, because it wasn't the first time …), the second one finally arrived at my parents' home. I got them last weekend and finally managed to take pictures today. First the batteries of the camera were empty and then there was no sun for days. There still is no sunlight today but I took pics nevertheless. Sorry for the darkness, but without flash the colours are more like how they really are.

I really love those socks. They are just my favourite colour at the moment, the patternis very nice and the knitting is just perfect. Not to mention that they fit. And the yarn is Lorna's Laces. Wow! I've never touched that before.

So: Thank you, Kristi!  I hope you enjoyed making both pairs, I will enjoy wearing the one that finally arrived.

Meine Sockapalooozas sind fertig. Ich habe keine nennenswerten Fehler gemacht und passen müssten sie auch. Zumindest stimmen die Maße. Allerdings stimmt die Färbung des Garns nicht ganz: die Farben sind unterschiedlich kräftig, obwohl die beiden Knäule die gleiche Partienummer haben. Nun ja. Trotzdem bin ich zufrieden.

Eine klitzekleine Kleinigkeit werde ich noch an den Socken verändern, das kann ich aber nicht zeigen, sonst würde ich mich womöglich verraten.

Fakten: Lang Jawoll Cotton Jacquard Farbe 5114 (?); Ferse und Spitze habe ich mit dem beigelegten Beilaufgarn verstärkt. 

Meine Sockapalooza-Socken. Ich finde das Garn schön und bisher gefällt mir das Gestrick auch. Ich habe entschieden, diesmal kein Muster zu stricken, sondern vor allem kleine Details einzubauen.

Völlig unterschlagen habe ich das Stricktreffen am Freitag in Danielas Laden. Es war sehr nett wie immer und eine höchst erfreuliche Karnevalsalternative.

Bei dieser Gelegenheit bin ich an das ultimative Garn für meinen Sockenpal gekommen: Lang Jawoll Cotton Jacquard in braun-türkis-rosa, das Karina für mich übrig hatte (DANKE!). Leider gibt es dazu keinen brauchbaren Link und hier ist es zu dunkel, um Fotos zu machen. Wenn meine Geburtstagssocken fertig sind kann ich also gleich die Sockapaloooza-Socken anschlagen.
